Eduard Ruijs

Eduard Ruijs, Director, joined First Reserve in 2011. His responsibilities include deal origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy, focusing on the energy infrastructure sector. Among other deal activity throughout the energy infrastructure value chain, Mr. Ruijs is the lead investor on First Reserve’s portfolio investment in PetroFirst Infrastructure Limited which includes a portfolio of FPSO’s in partnership with leading industry provider Petrofac. Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. Ruijs was an Investment Director and Partner at NIBC Infrastructure Partners, where he was responsible for investing the NIBC European Infrastructure Fund. Prior to NIBC Infrastructure Partners, he was a Senior Principal with the European Energy Practice at The Boston Consulting Group in London. Before that, he was a Senior Manager at A.T. Kearney Ltd in London. Mr. Ruijs holds a B.B.A. from Nijenrode University. He also holds a Master in Law and an MSc from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam along with a M.Juris from Oxford University.
