Asset Development and Planning Specialist, Hugo Balthazar is originally graduated in Chemical Engineering from UFRJ and he is an experienced Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with a demonstrated history of projects that resulted in profit increase and cost reduction. Hugo has worked as a chemical engineer on Frade FPSO for 3 years, being responsible for implementation of chemical treatment and monitoring programs for oil, gas and water at Frade field, aimed at reducing the total cost of operation and increasing the return of the investment to the client. With 10 years of professional experience, where he initially worked in Biodiesel Research, Hugo has spent the past 9 years in the oil and gas market, working in technical and sales roles targeting value creation projects for his costumer and he has also worked as offshore production engineer on Frade FPSO for Chevron, working on projects for asset development, production optimization, flow assurance and asset integrity. Hugo has large operational background and strong production and process engineering knowledge, participating in several projects on these disciplines. Hugo is currently in charge of implementing the Total EP Strategy to ensure that the development of Libra Asset is carried out at the lowest costs possible and following the highest HSE standards, being in charge of the corporate strategic exercises at the Asset level, aiming at maximizing the value of the asset with a well-defined balance between objectives and effort to reach them.
