Swarandeep believes that a critical element for successful large project delivery has so far been neglected: specifically, the “soft” issues of project delivery such as leadership, organi-zational culture, mindsets, attitudes, and behaviors of project owners, leaders, and teams. He refers to this blend of soft organizational topics as “the art of project leadership”, as opposed to standards, systems, processes, which he refers to as project management “sci-ence”. Known for his deep industry knowledge, and his practical and street-savvy style; Swaran-deep’ s fusion of real-life stories and his conversational techniques connect with his audi-ence at an intimate, intense and individual level. Swarandeep has held various leadership positions at ABB in Norway for several years and continues to work with the best and brightest in the field of industrial automation. He is passionate about technology and brings his vision and thought leadership to international arena through active participation in standards developing organizations like IEC, ISO, ISA and industry consortiums like IOGP. Prior to his leadership efforts, Swarandeep, an engineer by education, has worked in India and Malaysia. He has served on the board of advisors for a successful consulting company in the field of energy and mentors young professionals starting their career.
