Lead Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment) MODEC Production Services Gh. Ltd (MPSG)

Emil Fordjour Boachie is the lead Mechanical Engineer for MODEC Production Services Ghana JV Limited (MPSG) in Accra, Ghana. With over 17 years of experience in the upstream and downstream Oil and Gas industry, he is a highly competent and motivated professional.

Mr. Boachie has an HND in Mechanical Engineering from Kumasi Technical University and a B.Sc. in Operations & Project Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). In addition, he has multiple technical certifications from Ghana and abroad, specializing in incident investigations, maintenance, pipeline designs/fabrication, asset integrity management, project management, and process safety management. He thoroughly understands international Piping Codes and Standards, such as ASTM, ASME, API ANSI, and NACE, among others.

Throughout his professional tenure, Mr. Boachie has focused primarily on static mechanical projects, from the FEED phase to their execution. He ensures the use of cost-effective methods to reduce CAPEX. He was crucial in warranty-related initiatives and closure for Ghana's first FPSO (KNK-MV21). He coordinated with clients and operation teams to address identified warranty issues.

Mr. Boachie excels not only in FPSO operations and project management but also in design management, engineering supervision, coordination, materials procurement and inspection, offshore/onshore piping design and construction, shut-down planning and execution, budget preparations, and serving as the Subject Matter Expect (SME) for static-related equipment. In addition, he is adept at HAZID, HAZOP, RCA workshops, incident investigations, and Level 1 & 2 FFS evaluations. His expertise includes the management of asset integrity.

Mr. Boachie has developed various asset management procedures and other static-related apparatus, as well as reviewed similar works by fellow engineers. He actively attends engineering conferences and symposia, expanding his knowledge and expertise in the field.
