Kofi Opoku is the Commercial Director at Kosmos Energy Ghana.  In his current role, he is responsible for commercial, license management, and new business development. Kofi has been with Kosmos since 2011 and has over 18 years (over 14 years in industry) experience.

Prior to his employment at Kosmos Energy, Kofi worked in various roles at Hess Corporation and Noble Energy in the US and Equatorial Guinea respectively where he gained experience in Concession/PSC Fiscal Regimes, Joint Venture Operations , Oil & Gas Finance & Accounting, & Anti-Corruption & FCPA Compliance.

Kofi also worked at Ernst & Young LLP in the Houston with a focus on Energy Trading Risk Management and Business & Audit Advisory

Kofi holds a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia and a BA in Business Administration from the University of North Florida.

He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a license from the state of Texas
