Clean energy demand is on the rise in South East Asia, governments in Asia have announced their Net Zero Plans and scaling up of offshore wind energy is well on its way. The offshore wind industry has continued to grow through the global pandemic, with a record $35-billion in investments in the first half of 2020. Within this booming market, the Asia Pacific region is projected to become the largest offshore wind sector by 2030, and is set to receive up to $250-billion of new investments in this sector by 2025.  

There is limitless potential with offshore wind power development, and with new countries entering the market like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam, the entire marketplace is set to shift. However, challenges continue to lie ahead for these countries as they navigate local content regulations, limited expertise and capabilities, high CAPEX impacting long-term sustainability of these projects and more. 

Held alongside the FPSO World Congress 2022, Offshore Wind Asia will bring the industry’s leading stakeholders together to explore the immense opportunities present in the region and discuss best practices in design and build of offshore wind farms.
