Cedric Chatel

Cedric has more than 20 years of experience in structured finance. He works in Societe Generale’s Energy Finance & Advisory team, being involved in both advisory and arranging assignments, with a particular responsibility for developing our energy transition franchise in Asia. Cedric joined SG in 2000 in Germany as financial analyst prior to joining the coverage team, the export finance team, the asset finance team and our energy project finance team, this in various locations (Frankfurt, Paris, London, Hong Kong and currently Singapore).

Cedric is highly familiar with advising and arranging large-scale offshore wind, solar photovoltaic (incl. floating solar) and integrated LNG-To-Power project financings. Cedric is leading our team advising in the scope of the first offshore wind tender in Japan and has led our team closing the first offshore wind project financing in Japan, the Akita & Noshiro project. He has also closed in 2021 the non-recourse financing of two solar PV project financings in Japan, the Azuma Kofuji and Sodegaura projects.
