Håvard Devold is the Group Vice President with global responsibility as a digital lead in the Oil, Gas and Chemicals industries.  He has worked for ABB since 1982 in positions ranging from software development, project management, sales, business and technology management and is the first to bring forth the idea of Digital Oilfield in one of his earlier speaking opportunities in FPSO World Congress.

Prior to this role, Håvard was the country technology manager for ABB Norway which is the main technology center for ABB in Oil and Gas. Areas of interest include technology center and execution models for large Multi-discipline projects, Electrical-Instrument-Control-Telecom and Mechanical Integration, Process Electrification, Subsea, Power to/from shore, Digital Oilfield, Flow Assurance and Asset Management / Condition Based Maintenance.  Håvard authored and continues to update the “Oil and Gas Production Handbook”
