Adrian Tan is presently the Engineering Manager for Hibiscus Petroleum. He brings with him a rich experience in managing newbuild and brownfield assets for deep and shallow-water operations. Topside process intensification and flow assurances are among his technical interests. Adrian believes that simplifying/compacting topsides equipment will reduce weight, size while improving safety, resulting in primary benefits to cost reduction. He also pursues his teaching interest with Curtin University, lecturing Chemical and Petroleum undergraduates as their Associate Professor. Adrian obtained his master’s degree in molecular engineering from a joint Massachusetts Institute of Technology Singapore degree and read his doctorate in NUS, majoring in Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis.
