Joerg Theis is the Head of ABB’s Energy Industries Business Line for Asia within the Industrial Automation Business where the portfolio covers the oil & gas, power & water and chemical & refining sectors which helps companies develop, produce and operate safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Joerg has over 20 years of experience in ABB for the oil, gas and chemical industry. With a background in Chemical Engineering, he started his career as a commissioning engineer and throughout his career, has held various management positions in operations, service and sales, including leading the business units in different parts of the world including Manheim, Frankfurt, Oslo, Beijing and Singapore. Most recently, he was leading the global service for the Oil, Gas and Chemical portfolio. Joerg is passionate about working with industry customers to drive growth and boost operational efficiency through innovative technologies.
