Sidat joined ING in September 2018 and is primarily responsible for the offshore energy services business, covering clients based in the Asia Pacific region. He has worked intimately with the offshore energy services sector since 2003. Prior to joining ING, Sidat spent a total of 8 years at DVB Bank SE (Singapore), where he lead the financing of numerous drilling rigs, FPSO/FSO projects and other offshore vessels. He also spent 2 years with General Electric (Singapore) where he spearheaded the development and execution of the company’s strategic business plan for the offshore-marine sector in the Asia-Pacific including the formation of a global vertical team. Sidat started his career with the Economic Development Board, the arm of the Singapore government responsible for attracting foreign direct investment, where for four years he was responsible for the development and promotion of oilfield equipment & services industries in Singapore. He worked closely with major MNC clients to attract world-class, pioneering investments into Singapore covering high-value manufacturing, engineering, asset management and R&D activities. Sidat has degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (BSc, Electrical Engineering) and Stanford University (MSc, Management Science and Engineering). Married with 2 kids and dog, Sidat also likes to clear his mind while riding a bike.
