Jake Van Den Dries

Jake van den Dries is a freelance safety and leadership consultant. His professional experience includes 8 years' as Operations Manager in the Dutch Fire Service, followed by 30+ years in international roles in the oil & gas industry, working onshore and offshore in 5 continents, with Enterprise Oil, Shell, Statoil (now Equinor) and MODEC. He obtained a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, specialised in Energy Technology, and has an MSc* in Risk Management & Safety Technology from Aston University in England. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (CFIOSH), since 2005.

Jake's expertise is valued by industry due to his ability to provide pinpoint strategic planning, execution of safety and leadership improvements, standardisation and optimisation of HSEQ management systems, and providing leadership and team coaching on-site. Jake lives in Rio de Janeiro where he has been based since 2000.
