2019 was a defining year for the FPSO World Congress. Following the subdued oil markets in the recent years, 2019 showed tangible and positive signs of recovery and this was reflected in the increased turnout from both oil operators and FPSO contractors at the show. Held on 1 – 4 and 8 September, we saw over 1,600 attendees join us at FPSO World Congress Live 2020. Over the span of 5 days, we covered a range of topics from FPSO market intelligence, digital twins and remote monitoring, operations, asset integrity management and more.

From 6 to 9 September 2021, the FPSO network Team brought a hybrid event experience for the first time ever, to 𝗙𝗣𝗦𝗢 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 held at Singapore EXPO & MAX Atria. The main theme for this year’s congress was “The Future FPSO: Low-Carbon & Low-Manned” and revolved around 3 main cogs, Energy Transition, Low-Manned FPSOs and Vessel Integrity. The event saw Sponsors, Delegates and Exhibitors attend the congress in-person and virtually.

We had over 20 content-packed sessions and Masterclasses over the 4 days presented LIVE in-person by Speakers or through our virtual event platform.

Twenty-five years ago, we launched FPSO World Congress to connect the offshore oil & gas industry together. Our aim was to bring together key stakeholders involved in FSO / FPSO / FLNG / FSRU projects around the world. Since then, the congress has established itself as the bridge between floating vessel operators, oil & gas producers, and offshore solution providers as we welcomed over thousands of delegates from countries all over the world. It is an enormous privilege to reach this milestone – and we haven’t done it alone.

FPSO World Congress is what it is today because of our community: our network, our partners, and most importantly, all our supportive partners and delegates like yourself who challenge us to keep innovating. As we are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year, we are also celebrating 25 years of your commitment and support. It’s a cycle that has repeated itself at FPSO World Congress over the last decade. Expenditure in offshore upstream projects has increased in recent years. However, 2023 closed with fewer approvals for FPSO projects than expected. High interest rates and full contractor backlogs proved hurdles for the market. Investment forecast for the next five years proves to be promising as FPSO growth is estimated to increase by 40% compared to the previous period.
